As a current undergrduate at UC Irvine, I am involved in the Vietnamese Student Association as a member of the Traditional Dance Team and a writer in the scientific literacy club called Morning Sign Out. Outside of school, I volunteer in the ICU/CCU deparment at OC Global Medical Center and work as a part-time private music instructor.

I hope to further hone my reading and writing skills in this course and develop a greatecompassion for animal science and understanding how to use my skills from reseraching scientific articles and writing a convcining argument to help advocate for a real issue in the world.

ABOUT THE CLASS

Writing 39C places an emphasis on reading and rhetoric and utilizing academic reserach articles in order to fully engage in UCI's community of budding thinkers. There is a heavy focus on using different techniques to analyze genres and situations appropriate to the writing prompts. This is meant to prepare for transferring our skills to other applications of the academic world.

The course also focuses on the digital rhetoric and knowing how to use different types of media that are commonly used in the modern world, including social media platforsm such as Instagram, Twitter, and website creators.
